2024

We welcome Jair.

The lab welcomes Jair who joins as an undergrad student, coming from the School of Chemistry, UNAM. Jair will perform his social service in the lab and he’ll work on wet lab related projects.

We welcome Isabel and Pablo

The lab welcomes Isabel and Pablo who join as undergrad student volunteers, both are sophomores of the School of Sciences, UNAM. They will work on bioinformatic approaches related to our projects.

We welcome Victor.

The lab welcomes Victor who joins as an undergrad student, coming from the School of Chemistry, UNAM. Victor’s project will focus on understanding the DNA topology of the Arabidopsis chloroplast using in-silico approaches.

The lab acquired its first grant from UNAM PAPIIT.

UNAM awarded a grant from PAPIIT program to the lab. This grant will fund the project related to the study of DNA supercoiling in the chloroplast genome. The grant will run until the end of 2025.

We welcome Fabiola, Javier, Zyanya, and Montserrat

The lab welcomes Fabiola, Javier, Zyanya, and Montserrat who join as undergrad student volunteers, all coming from the School of Chemistry, UNAM. They will learn on wet lab aspects of our projects in Chlamydomonas and Arabidopsis.

Miguel joins the Department of Biochemistry

Miguel Joined the Department of Biochemistry of the School of Chemistry, UNAM, as an Assistant Professor (Profesor Asociado C, TC) on June 1st 2023
